About Me

Hi, my name is Emily Bailey.
I'm an artist with a passion for all sorts of creative media. I've been producing art since before I could walk and talk. Inspired by my mother, who once owned her own art supplies business, I enjoy developing my skills and artistic processes. I'm Florida-based and just recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor's degree in Digita Media - Game Design.
I especially enjoy character design. I love creating a sketch and then developing a refined design. I would then create a t-pose 2D representation of my character and bring it into Blender. I use pureRef to compile my reference images from Pinterest, then begin my blockout. I love the entire process of creating my model from bockout to a fully polished character. In my last 2 years of college, I began dabbling in animation and character rigging. I participated in an independent research project under Cheryl Briggs, a motion capture specialist at UCF, to model and apply motion capture animation to an articulated model. I named this model Mina, and from that independent project, I learned what I wanted to spend my time creating. I now make custom models. Models ready for games and/or personal use. I value the personal relationships I have with clients and partners. I want to develop designs that are optimized aesthetically and technically for whatever purpose my model is being used for.
